Tola Odeyemi, born on July 31, 1980, in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, is a distinguished engineer and public administrator who currently serves as the Postmaster General and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST). Her educational journey began at Adesoye College in Offa, Kwara State, after which she pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering at Morgan State University. She furthered her studies by obtaining a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering from George Washington University.

Odeyemi’s career is marked by significant roles in both public service and the private sector. She served as the Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Environmental Fund and later as a Senior Special Assistant to Governor Akinwumi Ambode between 2016 and 2019. Transitioning to the private sector, she joined Uber in August 2019 as Head of Public Policy. Before her current appointment, she was the Head of Government Affairs for Sub-Saharan Africa at Binance, a leading cryptocurrency exchange company.

In October 2023, President Bola Tinubu appointed Odeyemi as the Postmaster General and CEO of NIPOST, making her the first woman to hold this position. Her appointment underscores the increasing recognition of women’s capabilities in leadership roles within Nigeria’s governance and economic sectors.
