Vivianne Ihekweazu serves as the Managing Director of Nigeria Health Watch, a distinguished health communication and advocacy organization located in Abuja, Nigeria. In this pivotal role, she leads the conceptualization and implementation of crucial health advocacy initiatives, strategies, and campaigns targeted at various stakeholders, including government bodies, non-profit organizations, and development partners throughout Nigeria. With a rich background in strategic communications spanning over two decades, Vivianne has garnered extensive international experience, having collaborated with leading media communication and research agencies in the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Nigeria.
Beyond her remarkable achievements in health communication and advocacy, Vivianne is deeply committed to enterprise and management development. She has made significant contributions to initiatives such as the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Initiative and other enterprise development programs in South Africa, where she served as a mentor, imparting management skills and training to black female-owned businesses.
Vivianne’s academic credentials are impressive, including a Bachelor’s degree in Economics & Business Administration, a Master’s degree in Development Economics from the University of Sussex, and an MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Science (University of Pretoria). Currently, she holds the esteemed position of Fellow on the prestigious Chatham House Global Health Leaders Fellowship, further highlighting her dedication to advancing health leadership on a global scale.
