Engr. Henrich Bankole Akomolafe, born on October 1, 1992, in Kano state, Nigeria, is a proud native of Ikere, Ekiti State. His educational journey took him from Ado-Ekiti to Abuja, where he nurtured his passion for mathematics and computer technology. He graduated in 2015 with a degree in Computer Engineering from the Kharkiv National University of Radio-electronics and followed it up with a Master’s Degree in Information Technology Strategic Management from Barcelona School of Management (BSM) – Universidad Pompeu Fabra, Spain.

Upon entering the job market in 2015, Henrich understood the value of creating opportunities and joined the family business, Akotex, with a focus on Elevator and Escalator Manufacturing. His dedication and vision led him to become the Managing Director, propelling the company to a top-three position in the Nigerian Elevator Business Industry from its previous seventh ranking.

Henrich’s hard work and dedication earned him global recognition, with Forbes Africa featuring him in their 30 under 30 Special Issue in 2019. He was crowned Entrepreneur of the Year by The Under 30 CEOs and received the Africa Prize for Entrepreneurship in 2020 from The Future Awards, among other accolades.

His upbringing, influenced by his father’s conservatism, instilled in him humility and level-headedness. Henrich, an esteemed Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE) and The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, is dedicated to raising the ethical and technical standards of Nigerian engineers.

He harbors a strong interest in human development and emerging technologies, such as robotics, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing, in line with the 4th Industrial Revolution. Henrich is also a passionate sports enthusiast, a loyal Chelsea supporter, and the founder of the renowned Henrich Football Club in Ikere, Ekiti State, dedicated to nurturing young football talent.

In his philosophy, Henrich emphasizes the power of focus, likening it to the concentrated light of a laser beam that can cut through steel. He believes that discipline and focus are essential for both individuals and entities like Nigeria to achieve their goals and realize their potential.
