Adesua Dozie is a highly accomplished legal professional with over two decades of experience advising multinational corporations across Africa. She currently serves as the Vice Chairman of ExxonMobil’s Nigerian affiliates, including Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (MPN) and Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited (EEPNL), making history as the first woman to hold this position in the company’s 70-year presence in Nigeria.

Adesua holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of Buckingham in the United Kingdom and a Master of Laws (LL.M) from Cornell Law School in New York. She is admitted to both the Nigerian Bar and the New York Bar, showcasing her extensive legal expertise. Before joining ExxonMobil, she served as General Counsel for General Electric (GE) Africa, where she provided strategic legal guidance across the continent.

Since joining MPN in 2019 as General Counsel, she has played a pivotal role in the company’s legal and operational strategies. Beyond her corporate achievements, Adesua is recognized as a trailblazer in the legal and business sectors, advocating for greater female representation in leadership. She is married to Uzoma Dozie, the former Managing Director of Diamond Bank and current CEO of Sparkle, and they have three children. With her leadership, expertise, and commitment to excellence, Adesua continues to shape the landscape of corporate governance and legal affairs in Nigeria.
