Justice4Josina/Justice4AllWomen
Convened by Josina Machel, domestic violence survivor and stepdaughter of revered freedom fighter, Nelson Mandela, the Justice4Josina/Justice4AllWomen campaign was a pan-African campaign against Gender Based Violence (GBV).
StateCraft Inc partnered with Josina’s Kuhluka Movement on media coordination and communication strategy on a pro-bono basis. We developed the brand visuals and a comprehensive digital strategy for the campaign which saw widespread adoption in South Africa, Nigeria and Mozambique.
The outcome was a continental campaign in support of women like Josina who have suffered one form of gender-based violence or another. We facilitated media and advocacy partnerships which included 29 Civil Society Organizations from Mozambique, 14 South African based organizations and across the continent. With international organizations such as Amnesty International, One Campaign, UN Women also joining voices.
